Sue Medley has returned home to the Comox Valley after years of touring and performing all over the world. “It’s been a great ride,” says Sue, “but I felt it was the right time to return home, connect with family and friends and re-establish my roots.”

For the past 10 years Sue has been teaching voice and guitar to young aspiring musicians in L.A. “It’s so rewarding, watching young people grow, not only musically but in developing self-confidence.” Sue adds. “I think I got as much satisfaction out of it as the kids do and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to teach young people the gift of music here in the Comox Valley.”

Voice or guitar lessons can be arranged in your home or at Sue’s Studio in Comox. All students will have the opportunity to perform in Sue Medley’s Kid’s Rock Recital in late Spring, 2011. “In L.A. these recitals were the highlight of the year, both for the kids involved and the proud parents.”

Here’s what others have to say about Sue’s ability as a teacher:

"Our favorite time of the week was our daughter's guitar lesson with Sue Medley. The house would be filled with beautiful songs and harmonies. Not only did Sue teach my daughter how to play guitar, but she inspired her to begin writing songs too. Every so often a remarkable teacher comes into your child's life and Sue was that teacher."
All my best, Jessie

"Sue Medley was my son's first guitar teacher and since her decision to move from Los Angeles we have yet to find a replacement. Sue has a unique ability to inspire her students to develop a love for music while teaching them the skills they need to grow as musicians. She combines patience with what is necessary to push her students to greater levels. It is rare to have such talent along with the gift of being able to teach."

"Sue Medley is a talented singer/songwriter and an equally gifted guitar teacher. Her teaching approach is one that appeals to both young and adult students, as she creates unique lesson plans that cater to the level and interests of the individual. Sue's breadth of experience as a recording artist and a teacher place her in a unique position to be able to understand her students' natural gifts and then push them to explore themselves more deeply. She is patient and quick, friendly and witty. And most importantly, she is a joy to spend time with!"
Love, Susan
